Tyler Gaffney

Tyler Gaffney starred as a running back and played the outfield at Stanford University from 2009 to 2014, earning All American and All‑Pac‑12 honors and helping lead the Cardinal to multiple bowl appearances. He was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, went on to spend time with the Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers—and earned two Super Bowl rings with New England. He also pursued professional baseball in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ organization before hanging up his cleats.

Transitioning from the field to the boardroom, Tyler has built and scaled multiple ventures across health, wellness, and technology. He co‑founded Supertrue, a children’s nutrition brand focused on clean, honest ingredients; and serves as Chief Marketing Officer of multiple companies. In addition, he also co-founded Avantera Health, a biohacking and performance‑optimization company, and advises several early‑stage health and wellness startups.

Today Tyler lives in College Grove, Tennessee, with his wife Kristen—his college sweetheart and their three young children. He stays active coaching his kids in soccer, basketball, baseball, and flag football, homeschools them, and remains deeply connected to the Stanford community through his work on the Football Alumni Council and Lifetime Cardinal.
